Amber Morton of Dayton, Ohio wins on Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel was mighty kind to a Dayton woman.

Amber Morton won $21,927 in cash and prizes, including a trip to South Africa, on the Tuesday, May 8 episode of "Wheel of Fortune."

The show airs 7 p.m. weekdays on WHIO channel 7.

Like WHIO, this news organization is part of Cox Media Group Ohio.

On the episode, Amber brings greetings from the State of Ohio and mentions her children, a 13-year-old daughter who loves basketball and a 5-year-old son she described as a ball of energy.

Hosted by Pat Sajak and Vanna White, Wheel of Fortune is in its 35th year.

The show has contestants solve hangman-style puzzles.

Morton has a career in workforce management and loves photography and dancing, according to the show.

She hosts game nights for family members and friends and has watched Wheel of Fortune for 30 years.
