"Having served thousands of authors, I know the most-difficult aspect of the book business is marketing," Valerie J. Lewis Coleman, the event's  co-founder, said. "Without an effective plan to identify, locate and connect with readers, authors struggle to magnify and monetize their message. Dayton Book Expo was created to connect book lovers with authors and promote literacy in a family-friendly environment."
