3 new businesses coming to one of Dayton’s hottest neighborhoods

Just like that, St. Anne’s Hill is very hot. 

Three new businesses have recently been announced for the historic district east of the Oregon Business District, which is anchored by Fifth Street BrewPub.

Here are three reasons to be excited about St. Anne’s Hill. 


Location: 1509 E. Fifth St. in Dayton.

The bakery expects to open in May. It will feature breakfast and lunch menus, and will be open until late afternoon. It will also be available for special events in the evenings.

2.) CMAX

CMax, a Columbus-based human resource firm, is expanding to Dayton.

The company bought the three-story former home of St. Anne's Hill Violins, 1500 E. Fifth St.

Last month, a company spokeswoman told this news organization that the property will be renovated in the summer, and the office will in fall 2017.

Dayton’s first cat cafe is gearing up to open at 1513 E. 5th St

Gem City Catfe, a hybrid coffee shop and cat adoption center, will have a full-service espresso bar and sell coffee, tea and pre-packaged snacks.
