PHOTOS: Stivers’ students transform sidewalk into a museum

Students at Stivers School for the Arts have transformed the sidewalks surrounding the Dayton school into a museum. Each year students in the visual arts magnet hold Chalk Art Day working together to create replicas of well-known masterpieces and works of art by lesser known artists. Its really a collaborative effort among visual artists, said ninth-grade student Ayanna Alexander. You get to see the art develop over the course of the day and its fun because were all in it together.LISA POWELL / STAFF
