3 sorry signs fall is on its way

Too soon Madison Avenue, too soon.

There are signs all over stores that fall -- or worse, winter -- is coming.

That would be OK if we were actually done with summers.

We aren't.

Bees are still buzzing and heck, temperatures are still in the 80s. But of course, some just can't wait to rush fall. Here's the evidence:

— Pumpkin ales are replacing summer shandy, and there's almost as much talk about football as there is about baseball — almost.

Bath and Body Works, the forecaster of change, is already selling a list of fall candles that includes "Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin," "Leaves," "Sweater Weather" and one that is straight-up called "Autumn."

Come ON, guys -- the black-eyed Susans and the coneflowers aren't even done yet.

But with the Dayton Art Institute Oktoberfest, Sons of Italy's Italian Fall Festa and Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church's Dayton Greek Festival right around the corner, we had been get used to the fact that summer is on its way out and fall is right around the corner.

Dayton.com's Tabatha Wharton offers other signs that fall is on the way in the video above.

Are you ready for fall, or are you holding on to summer tooth and nail?
