Chocolate covered strawberries (arguably, the most romantic concoction) are the name of the game at Ginniebug Creations, a home-based bakery in Dayton. 

💖The Valentine’s Day Box from The Neighborhood Nest

Until Feb. 7, Valentine’s Treat Boxes are available to pre-order at The Neighborhood Nest, a gluten-free bakery in Fairborn. For $30, you can find three heart-shaped s’mores graham cookies, three sugar cookies, three cotton candy and dreamsicle-flavored macarons, six truffles (three flavors: lemon, chocolate and cookies and cream) and three lemon curd tartlets. A dairy-free version of this Valentine’s Treat Box is also available for $40. 

To reduce any kind of confusion in the ordering process, the bakery asks that customers do not combine regular pre-orders with custom or specialty pre-orders. 

Those who purchase one of the Valentine’s Treat Boxes from The Neighborhood Nest will be able to pick up their orders on Thursday, Feb. 13, and Friday, Feb. 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Would you rather be a bit more hands-on when it comes to crafting the perfect gift for that special someone? If so, the chocolate-covered strawberry dipping event at all Dorothy Lane Market locations on Feb. 13 and 14 might just be the perfect fit for you.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., you’ll be able to dip your own Driscoll’s strawberries in both dark and white chocolate. Mini chocolate chips, colorful sprinkles and toffee pieces are all available as toppings for your labor of love.
