A virgin's first time with Rocky Horror at the Victoria Theatre

It was hard not to shiver with antici ..... pation (or because of the rain) while heading to the Victoria Theatre Saturday night.

As part of the Reel Late at the Vic movie series, the Victoria Theatre Association bravely screened The Rocky Horror Picture Show as its second installment in the three-movie series.

Staff put together over 500 "survival kits" sold at the venue, which contained versions of key props for several of the infamous audience call-backs synonymous with the cult classic film to help prevent damage to the 150-year-old theater.

Patrons were encouraged to dress in costume as their favorite characters, and many did not disappoint.

For a first-time viewer, usually called a "virgin" in the Rocky Horror world, the experience was hilarious and at times, magical.

The Reel Late at the Vic series shows its final film of the summer, Night of the Living Dead, on Aug. 27, so if you're more the blood and gore type than the raunchy and glam type, there's still time for you to check out the coolest movie venue in town.
