Molly Kearney, a University of Dayton alum, became the first nonbinary cast member of “Saturday Night Live,” when she appeared on the show last Saturday.

A nonbinary person does not identify exclusively as either gender.

Kearney appeared in two sketches along with the opening credits and the show’s wrap up conclusion.

Kearney joins three other new cast members for season 48 including Marcello Hernandez, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker.

Here are some of the highlights from social media about Kearney’s first appearance and looking ahead to this week.

The next episode of “SNL” will air Saturday night on NBC and will be available for streaming live on Peacock. Actor Brendan Gleeson host and Willow will be the musical guest.
