Opening day will bring the opportunity for customers to win free McAlister’s offerings. The first 100 guests in line by 10:50 a.m. will receive a coupon booklet offering one free entrée and one free dessert.
Shortly after at 11 a.m., those same 100 guests will be entered into a raffle to be the winner of “free McAlister’s for a year,” the deli chain’s officials said in a release. It entitles the winner to one free McAlister’s offer per week for a year, at the Dayton Mall McAlister’s.

“We are excited to offer McAlister’s handcrafted sandwiches, family-friendly atmosphere, and genuine hospitality to Dayton,” said Ricky Sidhu, franchise owner of the Dayton Mall location. “We look forward to opening our doors and building long-lasting relationships with the Dayton community.”
The 4,000-square-foot space will seat 158. Sidhu said it would employ 60 to 70. The new restaurant’s hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily.
Sidhu operates two other McAlister’s in the region: on Pentagon Boulevard near the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek, which opened in November 2014; and on Miller Lane in Butler Twp., which opened in August 2015. Sidhu is considering adding as many as two more restaurants, possibly in the Kettering and Troy areas.
Atlanta-based McAlister’s operates more than 360 restaurants in 28 states. Its menu includes sandwiches, soups, salads, Spuds (loaded baked potatoes), desserts and sweet tea. The restaurants also offer catering.
