The Gyro Room is now at 1124 Brown St. near the University of Dayton.
John Hanna, founder of the Greek restaurant, said this Monday, April 10 that his 1,500-square-foot restaurant seats about 45. It has eight employees, “and we’re still hiring,” Hanna said.
The space previously housed Greek House sportswear and Tropical Tan.
The restaurant’s menu includes gyros, chicken gyros, vegetarian gyros, shrimp gyros, a Philly Gyro, souvlaki, falafel, Greek salads, Greek pizza and baklava.
Hanna, a New Jersey native, has been in the restaurant business for 16 years, and operated the Kala Greek Grill in West Chester, Ohio from 2011 to 2014.
