Kristen Scott said her three children and a nephew were playing outside her Southport apartment when a man approached. He began mimicking the children, who were making faces at one another, Scott told the television station.
"I guess the guy started doing it back. I'm not sure if that was his way of seeming friendly," Scott told WXIN. "My 4-year-old hesitated, kind of stopped you know, looked at him, and he said, "Come here sweetie.'"
As the children ran away, Scott chased after the man, throwing rocks, the television station reported.
"I gave birth to my three children, and I am going to keep my three children by whatever means necessary," Scott told WXIN.
Scott said she saw a white man get in his car and drive away in what she believed was a white Ford Taurus, the television station reported.
