The Greene Town Center has confirmed the loss of a second niche food retailer in addition to The Oilerie, which shut its doors yesterday, Jan. 31.
Omaha Steaks, a meat delivery company that operated a retail storefront at 4411 Walnut St., closed its doors effective Wednesday, officials at The Greene told this news outlet today, Feb. 1.

Omaha Steaks, founded in 1917 and based in Omaha, Nebraska, is a fifth-generation, family-owned company that is the largest direct marketer of frozen steaks, seafood and food gifts. Most of Omaha Steaks’ business comes via the internet, although the company operates retail storefronts in several U.S. cities to augment web sales.
Messages left for Omaha Steaks officials this morning were not immediately returned. We will update this story with any new information.
The franchise owner of the Oilerie shut down her store at 4454 Glengarry Drive, which sold olive oils and balsamic-style vinegars, at the close of business yesterday, Jan. 31, after four-and-a-half years.
