Dunkin’ Donuts, which opened its seventh Dayton-area location less than three months ago in Washington Twp., is gearing up to open its eighth doughnut shop in Fairborn.
“We are on target for mid-May soft opening, and for a mid-June grand opening,” a spokeswoman for Dunkin’ Donuts’ southwest Ohio franchisee said.
The 2,200 square-foot restaurant with drive-through service is under construction at 168 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road. The new store is hiring; interested persons can apply at gilliganoilcompany.com.
Pat Gilligan, the franchise owner for Dayton- and Cincinnati-area Dunkin’ Donuts, has said the Fairborn location has strong demographics and traffic counts.
Two additional Dunkin’ shops are in the works: on Harshman Road in Huber Heights and on North Fairfield Road in Beavercreek.

Prior to Gilligan’s franchise deal, Dunkin’ Donuts’ once-robust presence in the Dayton area had shrunk to one location on Springboro Pike (Ohio 741) near the Dayton Mall, which operates under separate franchise ownership.
Originally a doughnut and coffee chain, Dunkin’ Donuts has expanded its offerings in recent years to include frozen and iced beverages as well as bagels, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, bakery sandwiches and wraps.
