Heard a loud boom near Wright-Patterson today?
An explosive ordinance disposal team was involved in training exercises Wednesday, Jan.24, and Thursday, Jan. 25, causing the loud noises, according to Wright-Patterson spokeswoman Stacey Geiger. The training was scheduled to conclude Wednesday morning.
The newsroom has received phone calls and emails from the public with reports of loud noises coming from the base. The team periodically conducts training on the sprawling installation, officials have said.
