Calling all actors -- here’s your chance to get involved with some of the edgiest theatre in Dayton.

The Playground Theatre has announced auditions for their 2017-2018 season, which includes three three riveting and provocative plays: “Tape” by Stephen Belber, “The Tutors” by Erica Lipez and “Bachelorette” by Leslye Headland.

Auditions will be held on May 20 and 21. If you'd like to audition, you need to request one by going to the audition page on their website and filling out a request form. There are different casting guidelines for each show, which are included on the website.

If you are invited to audition, you’ll need to prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue. You also may be asked to cold read.  All roles are paid.

The Playground is a non profit, non equity, professional theatre company in Dayton. The company began in 2014, and since then, they have produced gritty and cutting edge plays about the Twenty/Thirty-something experience. They are an actor-driven theatre with an emphasis on storytelling over spectacle. 
The Playground's mission is to be a playground for actors, artists, designers, and dreamers, to bring to the stage raw, honest, and relevant stories that reflect the human condition and our unique journey through life.
For the last two seasons they have been a part of the Victoria Theatre Association's ImPACt program.
