Heart, which marked its second anniversary on Monday, Oct. 2, plans to open the new space on Friday, October 13.
The original location is currently open and many items are on sale, Smith said.

Smith and fellow owners Carly Barrett, Amanda Hensler and Kait Gilcher will keep the space at 438 E. Fifth St.
Clothing, jewelry, bags and accessories will be sold from the original space.
“We are racking our brains (for a name). It will have the same setup as Heart,” Smith told us.

Smith said the new space will sell funny, Etsy and Dayton-centric products.

“The real reason we are moving is because of storage. At the current space, we have none. We are maxed out on what we can carry, and for things like the Dayton tees that we sell like crazy, we are constantly running out of sizes because we can’t keep much on hand,” Smith said via Facebook message. “The new spot has a huge, dry basement that changes the game for us. Now we can have a legit office and we can have so much more in back stock.”
Heart uses space above nearby Blind Bob’s Bar for shipping.

Smith is among five women who own Luna Gifts and Botanicals at 261 Wayne Ave.
