Ben & Jerry’s criticizes Trump administration with new political flavors

Ben & Jerry's launched Pecan Resist, "a campaign to lick injustice and champion those fighting to create a more just and equitable nation for us all," the ice cream company announced.

The campaign criticizes the Trump administration and its “regressive agenda,” the ice cream company said. Ben & Jerry’s is introducing Pecan Resist, a Limited Batch ice cream flavor “celebrating the activists who are continuing to resist oppression, harmful environmental practices and injustice,” they said.

The limited-flavor ice cream highlights four groups and movements:

• Color of Change

• Honor the Earth

• Women’s March

• Neta

Ben & Jerry’s is donating $25,000 to each organization. Fans have both applauded and criticized the company.

The Trump administration has yet to respond to the company’s move.
