The city’s three golf centers: Madden, Community and Kittyhawk, will remain closed through at least April 30 as a precaution during the coronavirus pandemic, the city announced Friday in a press release.

The Ohio Department of Health on March 30 clarified its order to allow golf courses to operate as an outdoor recreation activity as long as social distancing and disinfecting procedures are followed.

“With limited staffing, social distancing guidelines cannot be sufficiently monitored. Also, disinfecting cleaners are being prioritized for other, front-line city operations,” the release stated.
