Dayton Metro Library hosting teen photo contest

DAYTON — The Dayton Metro Library is accepting entries in the 2017 Teen Photo Contest until March 31. Montgomery County teens in grades 7-12 can enter in one of four categories: Black & White, Color, Digitally Enhanced and a new category this year – Selfie.

Cash prizes courtesy of the Friends of the Library will be awarded in each category: $100 first place, $75 second place, $50 third place.

“Judges will select the finalists in each category based on general quality and creativity,” said Steve Moser, Teen Services Coordinator, “then the winners will be determined by popular vote on our website.”

To enter, photos can be emailed to smoser@daytonmetrolibrary.org. In the the email, entrants must include their name, address, phone number, email address, school, grade, photo title and the category they are entering. Print 8×10” entries can be dropped off at any Dayton Metro Library location.
