Epic Coffee to mark its first anniversary with a free shot of espresso & more

EPIC Coffee Shoppe, a locally owned, independent shop that opened a year ago at 22 W. Stroop Road in the Castle Hills retail center across from Town & Country Shopping Center in Kettering, is celebrating its anniversary next week, culminating Tuesday, July 23 with a free shot of espresso with any purchase.

“We invite everyone to stop in to EPIC today or any day to celebrate community through faith, hope and love,” founders Laura Gorham and Brian Ernst said. “The vibe here is always alive with the sound of good music and happy children, from newborns to seniors. No matter if you are a coffee fanatic, tea lover, appreciator of fine baked goods, ice cream connoisseur, or avocado aficionado, we’ve got you covered.”

Gorham and Ernst, who live in Kettering, transitioned from other careers — Gorham in teaching, Ernst in interior design — to launch the coffee shop together.

“People from near and far gather here to study, meet friends or just enjoy a cup of coffee in our peaceful, friendly, neighborhood coffee shop,” the proprietors said. “Have your complimentary shot of espresso in a warmed demitasse, or add it to any specialty drink for an even richer coffee experience.”
