Police: Man arrested after girl records abuse and calls 911

A man was arrested after police say a young girl recorded video of the man inappropriately touching her.

Christopher Hranek, 50, is charged with lewd/lascivious battery/engaging in sexual activity with a person between 12 and 16 years old, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office report.

Hranek calls himself a security consultant and bodyguard on his LinkedIn page and says he is a graduate of the Law Officers Academy in Arizona.

The girl called 911 on Sunday to say that Hranek was touching her under her clothes and that he had done it before.

According to the police report, the girl "said she video-recorded the incident because no one has believed her allegations in the past."

She told police that she did not want to record Hranek's most graphic attempts to touch her because she was embarrassed. Action News Jax crime and safety expert Ken Jefferson called the victim's efforts to record the incident "heroic."

"What stood out the most was the heroic efforts of this young lady," Jefferson said. "(Often), adults try to bury it or don't want to believe them."

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office online database, Hranek is being held in the Duval County Jail on a $500,003 bond.
