The opening of the Dayton area’s second Duck Donuts shop is less than six weeks away, if all goes well.
The doughnut chain, which launched its first Dayton-area shop in October 2017 near the University of Dayton, will open its second location in front of the Target store near the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek.
“The schedule looks like everything is on track to be open by Oct. 1,” a Duck Donuts spokesperson told this news outlet.
The Duck Donuts Dayton-area franchise owners said in 2017 that their goal was to open three locations in the Miami Valley.

Duck Donuts’ concept allows customers to customize their own doughnut, using a vanilla cake doughnut that is made fresh in front of the customer, who then chooses the icings, sprinkles and other toppings.
Orangetheory Fitness gym will join Duck Donuts in a nearly 7,000-square-foot retail development in the 2400 block of North Fairfield Road.
