The Carillon Park Tree of Light is now illuminated for the 2018 holiday season as the switch was flipped during a special ceremony Wednesday night as part of the park’s A Carillon Christmas.
News Center 7’s Kate Bartley and Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini hosted the event.
The 200 foot tall Tree of Light was lit just after 6 p.m.
A Carillon Christmas will be open every night through Dec. 30, with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Event Hours:
Sunday-Thursday: 5 p.m. through 9 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 5 p.m. through 10 p.m.
The Tree of Light is constructed from 100 individual light strands and is made up of 20,000 light bulbs.
Wednesday’s tree lighting event also featured a concert of holiday music.
