Once the order is lifted DOLC plans to announce a new deadline.

DOLC said that it decided to delay the deadline after hearing requests for more help from permit-holders.
“We are listening and recognize the financial strain of permit renewal fees to businesses at this time,” DOLC Superintendent Jim Canepa said. “Extending the deadline will provide economic relief to permit holders by giving them some breathing room for renewal submissions.
Those with permits set to expire June 1 can take advantage of this extension, the announcement said, and those who have already mailed in their renewal will be contacted to see if they would like to proceed or wait for the new deadline.
In total, the DOLC estimates this change affects about 8,400 establishments, holding roughly 20,000 permits in the Western portion of the state.

Class C permits apply to retail stores selling alcohol in containers not meant to be consumed in the store. Class D permits apply to businesses selling drinks in glasses or containers to be consumed on the premises where it is sold.
The DOLC Liquor Control Commission previously passed an emergency rule to allow certain permit holders to sell drinks to go with the purchase of a meal.
