The Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County will conduct an OVI checkpoint Friday night in Dayton.
The time and location will be announced later. State law requires that law enforcement announce the times and locations of sobriety checkpoints in advance.
The checkpoint and enhanced patrols are part of efforts to defer and catch impaired drivers.
Dayton police, as well as officers from the task force, will conduct the checkpoint.
Officers also will keep an eye out for those not wearing seat belts.
