A fast-casual pizza restaurant and a sandwich shop are building their first locations in Butler County in front of Cabela’s and across the street from Liberty Center.
MOD Pizza is tentatively slated to open at 7240 Outfitters Way in October, according to Garyen Denning, managing partner of Cool Dough Development.
MOD Pizza restaurants serve salads, milkshakes, craft beers and wine.
“MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, allowing customers to create their own pizzas and salads, using fresh-pressed dough, signature sauces and over 30 toppings, for one price,” Denning told the Journal-News.
The restaurant offers five different sauce options, six cheeses, eight meats, 20 toppings and seven different “Finish It” items for the final touch.
Customers can get every topping or none on any pizza from MOD’s Top 10 with any modification they want. Those who don’t like what they’ve created get a “do-over” free of charge. Gluten-free crust options are available upon request.
Founded in Seattle in 2008 by entrepreneurs Scott and Ally Svenson, MOD operates 125 locations across 16 states and plans to open 100 new restaurants in 2016, including five in Ohio, company officials told the Journal-News.
Each MOD Pizza location employs approximately 25 local employees.
Also under construction in front of Cabela’s is Potbelly Sandwich Shop at 7246 Outfitters Way, a restaurant that offers made-to-order homemade toasted sandwiches and hand-dipped milkshakes
