Gov. Mike DeWine’s plan calls for allowing swimming pools to open May 26, the day after Memorial Day.

Here are six ways going to the pool will be different:

  1. Fewer lockers will be available
  2. Restrooms and public areas will be cleaned every two hours
  3. Barriers will be installed between chairs and tables on the pool deck
  4. Nonessential congregation areas will be closed
  5. Pool decks will be marked to remind people of social distancing
  6. Pool operators may implement a reservation system or time limit for swimmers to accommodate a lower pool capacity.
