Donald Trump made an entrance as only the presumptive Republican nominee can during the first night of the Republican National Convention Monday night in Cleveland.

As he walked onstage at Quicken Loans Arena to introduce his wife Melania Trump, he paused against a heavy white spotlight as the crowed cheered his silhouette.

Across Twitter, Trump's entrance drew numerous comparisons.

Most references came from pop culture, including the WWE, "Back to The Future" and the 1984 Apple ad that famously aired during Super Bowl XVIII.
