‘Music, art, food, and fun for all ages’ promised at this weekend’s WinterFolk Festival

Yellow Cab Tavern will host the sixth annual event Saturday

The WinterFolk Festival is the perfect way to stay warm on a cold winter’s night.

After having to postpone due to inclement weather, the sixth annual event will be held Saturday at the Yellow Cab Tavern in Dayton.

The event is billed as a night of “music, art, food, & fun for all ages.”

This year’s event once again boasts nonstop music all night. Roots and folk musicians from the tri-state area will perform on three stages including Young Heirlooms, Biscuits & Gravy, Daniel Dye and Thaddeus Williams.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the first performance will start promptly at 8 p.m.

The work of visual artists Christine Gaffney, Jim Shirey and Douglas Fiely will be showcased and local artisans will sell handmade goods.

You won’t go hungry. Harvest Mobile Cuisine will offer farm-fresh comfort food and craft beer and cocktails will be available. All ages are allowed into the performance.
