Middletown brewery’s new beer to mark first full year in business

A Butler County brewery is celebrating its first calendar year in business with a special brew during its Brew Year’s Eve festivities.

FigLeaf Brewing Co., which will be open from noon Dec. 31 until 1 a.m. Jan. 1 and pouring pints, flights, howlers, and growler fills of Iso-Hazy, a New England style IPA.

The new brew is a lower alcohol-by-volume beer with a cloudy — or hazy — appearance and a “juicy” tropical aroma, FigLeaf officials said. It features a lower IBU than its more traditional IPA counterparts, making it an easy drinking beer with lots of flavor, officials said.

Iso-Hazy will be available on tap throughout the day while it lasts. No reservations or tickets are needed for FigLeaf Brewing Co.’s Brew Year’s Eve.
