According to the post, police are often asked if K9s go home with their handlers, and the answer is yes.
“The current handlers also have, or have had, their own family dogs before their duty dog arrived. In some cases, their personal pets are still the dominant pet in their home pack.”
Photos show K9 Chase smelling and cozying up to a tiny puppy.
