An airline is investigating a baggage worker caught on video carelessly and aggressively throwing luggage from a plane that had landed at Los Angeles International Airport last month.
An Alaska Airlines baggage handler is seen in a cellphone video recorded May 17 tossing bags from the plane to a metal cart, with at least two bags landing on the ground, KTLA reported.
"The contract vendor clearly violated our policies," Ray Lane, an airline spokesman, told KTLA in an email. "We expect all employees to treat the luggage and cargo of our guests as they would their own."
Lane said the incident is being investigated.
The passenger who recorded the video wanted to remain anonymous.
