The police department's bomb unit was called to the scene, spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Brown said in a statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Sunday morning, adding that the package is outside of the terminal, and the airport's operations were not affected.

Durham confirmed to WSB that the investigation wrapped up around 12:15 p.m. The package turned out to be two flashlights and a weather radio.

The investigation came days after officials said Cesar Sayoc, a supporter of President Donald Trump, mailed more than a dozen packages to critics of Trump. Over the past week, tensions were high as buildings around the country were put on lockdown and the packages were located.
