An Arkansas man and woman are behind bars after authorities said a toddler ingested meth.
According to KNWA-TV, Shimay Holt and Clifford Kelley, both of Gentry, were arrested last week on felony drug and child endangerment charges after a hospital test revealed methamphetamine in the toddler's system, authorities said.
Officials said a third party had taken the 16-month-old to the emergency room for treatment of facial itching and redness, the news outlet reported. The child was taken to the intensive care unit, authorities said.
Holt, 29, is being held on $20,000 bond, while Kelley's bail was set at $25,000, according to Benton County Jail records.
