State troopers probably hear the same excuses daily from people pulled over for speeding.
On Wednesday, a driver zipping along a Colorado interstate highway at speeds reaching 131 mph offered a different excuse: He was in a hurry to return to college, KCNC reported..
According to a tweet from the Colorado State Patrol Aircraft Section, the driver was pulled over on I-70 near Limon after being clocked at 131 mph.
Unreal. We caught a driver speeding 131 mph on I-70 near Limon. The drivers reason? “Trying to get back to college”. Can’t make that up. Instead, driver was taken into custody. We saved a life today. pic.twitter.com/pDsjgzRcjh
