Convicted rapist escapes from Kansas sexual predator treatment program, officials say

Authorities in Kansas are searching for an escaped sexual predator who fled from the Kansas hospital where he had been undergoing treatment, officials said.

According to the Wichita Eagle and KOAM, 58-year-old Randy Eugene Snodgrass, who was convicted in 1991 on charges of rape, sodomy, kidnapping and aggravated assault, fled on foot midday Monday from Parsons State Hospital in Parsons, authorities said. He also attacked a hospital worker during the incident, according to officials.

In a Facebook post, the city of Parsons said Snodgrass stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 195 pounds. He was last seen wearing black pants with a hoodie, authorities said.

"DO NOT APPROACH!" the post read. "Subject is considered armed and dangerous."
