Aaron Trejo, 17, of Mishawaka, confessed to stabbing 17-year-old Breana Rouhselang, a cheerleader, softball player and football team manager at Mishawaka High School, in December, WDSU reported. Police found her body Dec. 9 in a dumpster behind a Mishawaka restaurant near her home, the television station reported.
It’s a somber day outside of the St. Joseph County Courthouse and that same mood was felt inside the courtroom as Aaron Trejo admitted to the court he stabbed and killed Breana Rouhselang.

Trejo, who was charged as an adult, will be sentenced Jan. 7, 2020, WBND reported. He faces up to 80 years in prison.
According to the Indianapolis Star, Rouhselang's mother said her daughter, who was six months pregnant by Trejo, did not return after meeting with Trejo about 11 p.m. on Dec. 8.
According to court documents, Trejo, who was 16 at the time of the stabbing, told police he argued with Rouhselang about her pregnancy, WXIN reported.
"I took action. ... I took her life," Trejo said, according to the affidavit.
Rouhselang "died from multiple stab wounds" and also had experienced strangulation from a scarf tied tightly around her neck, according to an arrest affidavit written by St. Joseph County Metro Detective Gery Mullins.
Wednesday's court appearance was supposed to be a status hearing, but Trejo and his lawyer entered the guilty plea instead, WSBT reported.
