Jay-Z, who supported and collaborated with Hussle, performed the freestyle tribute during a break from his planned setlist at his "B-Sides 2" concert at Webster Hall.

"Gentrify your own hood before these people do it/ Claim eminent domain and have your people move in/ That's a small glimpse into what Nipsey was doing/ For anybody still confused as to what he was doing," Jay-Z said in part of the rhyme. "I told neighborhood Nipsey stay close/ There's a hundred million dollars on your schedule, lay low. I never dreamed he'd be killed in a place that he called home."

When Hussle started to sell his mixtape “Crenshaw” for $100 each album in 2013 Jay-Z purchased 100 copies, which led to a sellout of the 1,000-album inventory in less than 24 hours.

Hussle, 33, was fatally shot March 31 outside his clothing store.
