A New Jersey special education teacher who moonlights as a waitress received a generous tip during a recent weekend shift.
Catherine Acampora-Nielsen, who teaches in the Lakewood School District, works a second job as a waitress at Woolley's Seafood Market in Howell, the Asbury Park Press reported.
Sunday, she posted a photo of a tip and heartwarming note she received from a couple who dined at the restaurant. The bill came out to $70.96, but the couple tipped an additional $100 and wrote on the bill, "Thank you for teaching our kids -- teachers shouldn't have to work weekends!"
Acampora-Nielsen shared her experience on the Howell Happenings NJ Group Page on Facebook, New Jersey 101.5 reported. The post was accompanied by a message that read, "We hope this note gets back to this couple and let's them know how much of an impact they made in this person's life and a huge thank you for making a difference."
