New Martin Luther King Jr. note about love uncovered, for sale

A handwritten note on the meaning of love, written by civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr., has recently been discovered.

The note that reads, “Love is the greatest force in the universe. It is the heartbeat of the moral cosmos. He who loves is a participant in the being of God,” is now for sale by Moments in Time.

It has a price tag of $42,000, dictated by how rare it is to find a written letter from King, CNN reported.

Normally, King's correspondence was typed, Gary Zimet, the company's CEO, told CNN.

King wrote the note in the mid-1960s after being asked what he believed the meaning of love was, Zimet told CNN.

Zimet said his company bought the note from a dealer in England, CNN reported.

Some of the other items Moments in Time has for sale include Babe Ruth's first contract with the Yankees and the Double Fantasy album Mark David Chapman had signed by John Lennon hours before Chapman shot and killed the former Beatle.
