Here are some ways to help those affected by the El Paso shooting.

Donate blood

Blood donations are being accepted at two El Paso locations of Vitalent Blood Services -- one at 424 S. Mesa Hills Drive and another at 133 N. Zaragoza Road. According to a Facebook post by Vitalant, Lyft will give free rides to anyone going to and from the center for blood donations. The offer will last until Aug. 17. Donations are being taken by appointment only.

Donate funds

The Paso del Norte Community Foundation partnered with the City of El Paso to establish the El Paso Health Leadership Fund and the El Paso Shooting Victims' Fund to help the victims and families affected by the shooting. Monetary donations "will go directly to the families affected by the tragic events that occurred over the weekend," the organization said in a Facebook post.

"We appreciate the generosity of the El Paso community as we come together to show compassion and love for families who were directly affected by such a senseless act," the post said.
