Police: Man arrested trying to get into Tempe jail 'one way or another'

"One way or another," a man told police he was determined to get into an Arizona jail. When he tried to trespass into the facility Thursday, jail officials accommodated his request, police said.

According to Tempe police, Jeremy Kelly, 36, followed a police car through the security gates at the City of Tempe Jail, KNXV reported.

Police said Kelly told an officer he needed to get into the facility, and that he was "going to get in one way or another," the television station reported.

Kelly allegedly threatened to commit another crime after being released earlier Thursday, KNXV reported.

Police arrested Kelly and charged him with criminal trespassing, KNXV reported. He was taken to a jail in Phoenix and released after his initial court appearance, the television station reported.
