Prince Harry sings! Belts out ‘Hamilton’ selection at gala performance

How does a red-haired prince get a role in the hit musical “Hamilton?” It helps if you’re Prince Harry and the show is raising money for his charity to combat HIV.

Prince Harry attended the show with his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and show creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, at the Victoria Palace Theater in London's West End, NBC News reported.

Despite one of the themes of the show is the colonists rising up and defeating Great Britain and Prince Harry’s six-times great-grandfather, King George III, Harry seemed satisfied with the performance and took to the stage to thank the performers and audience members

The price was what people were willing to pay to be in the room where it happened and attend the gala performance and at the same time help raise money for Sentebale, the charity that the Duke of Sussex began with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho to help support young people living with HIV in Lesotho and Botswana, Playbill reported.

Before thanking everyone and promoting the charity, Prince Harry quickly sang the opening notes of “You’ll Be Back,” which is sung by the character based on King George III, who was on the throne during the American Revolution. But Prince Harry only sang for a moment, for two words “You say...” and left the crowd feeling maybe  a little helpless and they responded with cheers.

“Hamilton” opened at the Victoria Palace Theater last December and won seven Olivier Awards.
