Ford has announced a recall of more than 240,000 cars and SUVs because of an issue with the cars’ suspension systems.
The rear toe links can fracture and increase the risk of a crash, The Associated Press reported.
The toe link keeps the rear suspension stable and keeps the tires on the ground.
The recall involves 2013 through 2018 Ford Flex, Taurus police car, Taurus SHO and Lincoln MKT, according to the AP.
Owners of affected vehicles will be alerted starting March 2. Dealers will replace the toe links with stronger versions, the AP reported.
