Pets infected by salmonella can be lethargic, have diarrhea, fever and vomiting. Pets can also have decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain, the FDA reported. They can also be carriers of the infection and pass it to other pets and humans.
People can show signs of a salmonella infection including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever.
The pig ears were shipped to stores from May 1 to July 3, 2019.
They came in a pouch that contained eight ears with UPC codes 742174995163 and 742174994166 or individually shrink-wrapped ears with UPC codes 0385384810 and 742174P35107, according to the FDA.
