NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, were laid to rest Friday in a private ceremony, Entertainment Tonight reported Tuesday.
Bryant, 41, and his daughter were two of nine people who were killed when a helicopter in which they were flying crashed Jan. 26 in Calabasas, California.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the funeral was held in Corona Del Mar, California.
"Vanessa and the family wanted a private service to mourn their loss," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "The ceremony was extremely hard for everyone as it's still hard for them to grasp they lost two beautiful souls."
A public ceremony will be held for Kobe and Gianna Bryant on Feb. 24 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Vanessa Bryant came out publicly Monday with an emotional post detailing her grief on Instagram.
