A man is in federal custody after authorities said he asked about buying grenades and exploding them at New York's Times Square, WABC reported Friday.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken into custody by the Joint Terrorism Task Force, which includes members of the FBI and the New York City Police Department, WCBS reported.
The man will be arraigned in a federal court in Brooklyn later Friday, according to WABC.
Authorities said the man was observed asking about buying grenades and using them in Times Square, the television station reported.
According to reports, the man is not believed to be linked to a larger plot.
