Pescaro was one of six students shot April 30 in a UNCC classroom. Two of those students – identified as 21-year-old Riley Howell and 19-year-old Ellis “Reed” Parlier – died. The other students wounded in the attack were identified as Rami Alramadhan, 20; Sean Dehart, 20; and Emily Houpt, 23.
Authorities arrested a former student, 22-year-old Trystan Andrew Terrell, after the attack. A grand jury subsequently indicted him on two counts of murder, four counts of attempted murder, four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, possession of a firearm on educational property and discharging a firearm on educational property.
