A 9-year-old caused a scare Sunday morning when he decided to go for a drive in his mother's car, Las Vegas police said.
According to KTNV-TV, the boy's mother was showering when her son took off in the vehicle about 8:45 a.m., authorities said.
He ended up taking a 6-mile joyride down a busy freeway, barreling down U.S. 95 as frightened drivers tried to keep their distance, witnesses said.
Driver Mark Cabigon shared a video that appears to show the vehicle darting between cars.
