While Tuesday morning’s flights were cancelled, PSA worked through schedules, getting aircraft and crews where they needed to be to resume operations. They resumed operation on a reduced schedule Tuesday afternoon and are expected to continue for the next few days as it restores full service.
As of noon today, all American Airlines flights departing from Dayton International Airline are scheduled, but several arrivals are still cancelled, according to the airport’s flight tracker.
“Obviously there’s a bunch of holes now in the system, and they’ve got to get airplanes positioned to run their schedule,” said Terry Slaybaugh, director of aviation for the City of Dayton and Dayton Airport.

Operating about 12 percent of American’s 6,700 daily flights, PSA first experienced technical issues Thursday and has struggled to correct the problem since. The issue reemerged Sunday morning and continued through Monday and Tuesday morning.
The most recent cancellations stem back to the first technical issue in a computer system at PSA’s headquarters in Dayton, which resulted in 675 flight cancellations or delays.
